"This recognition not only highlights our commitment to sustainable and circular design but also sets a new standard for the entire industry. We are committed to leading the way toward a greener future."
The German Design Award platform emphasizes the critical role of design in the sustainable transformation of the economy. Outstanding design today offers solutions to current challenges more than ever, focusing on the impact of products and services on our planet and society through multi-perspective approaches, sustainable and circular design processes, and resource- and environmentally-friendly production.
As a pioneer in sustainable reusable packaging solutions for bulky goods, Circular Logistics GmbH is currently focused on introducing reusable transport boxes for brand-new bicycles in cooperation with Germany's leading e-bike manufacturer Riese & Müller. With this innovative approach, disposable cartons are replaced by reusable boxes and automated reverse logistics, which provide better protection for bicycles, reduce waste, and cut CO2 emissions by up to 80%. This sustainable and circular process sets an example for the entire bicycle industry.
